Kenya
Bountiful wildlife encounters
Kenya is the epitome of everything good about Africa. It hosted the first safaris and the diversity of landscape, culture and wildlife, has made it one of the most appealing safari destinations.
With a huge choice of wildlife reserves and private conservancies, Kenya offers discerning visitors breathtaking scenery and dense wildlife populations in peaceful surroundings. These private safari areas have a good selection of excellent small safari camps and lodges.
The Masai Mara Reserve hosts the incredible wildebeest and zebra migration between July and October, and we usually suggest staying in one of the adjacent private conservancies to avoid crowds. Amboseli National Park offers stunning views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro and is famed for elephant. Our clients also enjoy the Lewa Conservancy for rhino, the beautiful Chyulu Hills, the dramatic Rift Valley scenery, the large private conservancies strewn across Laikipia, Kenya’s lakes, and the remote Matthews Range in the north.
We Recommend…
Starting or ending your safari at the Kenya Coast. It’s the perfect add-on to any safari with great expanses of white sand beaches fringed with palm trees. The turquoise sea is protected by coral reefs providing stunning snorkelling, diving, and fishing.
