The Union 8th Grade Center faculty is committed to providing a safe and secure environment focused on learning which encourages academic excellence for all students.

EDGE: Earn a Degree, Graduate Early targets first-generation college students, those who come from families who have had no experience with college or expectation that their children will attend a university. The application process starts at the eighth grade level. Learn more about EDGE.

Fine Arts

Union Public Schools has one of the truly outstanding fine arts programs in the nation. A talented and dedicated staff, strong parental and community support, as well as the support of the administration and school board, have provided our students with a wide variety of opportunities to explore and develop their talents.

Safety + Security

A safe and secure school environment is essential to the learning process. An important ingredient in achieving safe and secure schools remains alert eyes and ears. Safety is achieved when an atmosphere exists in which students are comfortable talking with adults about their concerns.

Accreditation

The 8th Grade Center is accredited by the Oklahoma State Department of Education. Its accreditation process, involving parents, teachers and administrators at each site, is considered a model for other school districts.

Union Finance Awarded Certificate of Achievement for Excellence In Financial Reporting By GFOA

For the 34th year in a row, Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Union Public Schools for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025.

Early Childhood

Union provides a full-day, year-round program for eligible 3-year-olds, 4-year-olds and kindergarteners. Students learn language, fine arts, problem-solving and more.

STEM

Union offers a wide range of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math opportunities. Union was the 1st in Oklahoma, & among only a handful of districts nationwide, to offer STEM to students Pre-K through 12th grade.
