Flying crooked

By Robert Graves

The butterfly, the cabbage white,
(His honest idiocy of flight)
Will never now, it is too late,
Master the art of flying straight,
Yet has — who knows so well as I? —
A just sense of how not to fly:
He lurches here and here by guess
And God and hope and hopelessness.
Even the aerobatic swift
Has not his flying-crooked gift.

Light

Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.

Caught this amazing glimpse of light at Nightcliff, Darwin. Beautiful, rich and promising full moon… I adore your reign..

Change

The weather will change,

The rain will come,

and before that, the build-up will erode all capacity of tolerance or patience in people.

So I’ve been told, as I have not yet experienced the build-up in the Tropics..

And so it is.. the weather actually has changed. I see clouds building up in the sky, which seems unusual after plain blue for weeks..

I feel the humidity. My skin, my hair are enjoying the change.

And..the debilitating quietness of unemployment is coming to an end!

So, bring it on, I say!!
