    Following the excessive hot weather over the weekend, all MAX trains are traveling no faster then 35 mph today in order to reduce stress on the rail system and to avoid any heat-related mechanical issues. Expect up to 15 minute delays.

    Due to a state of emergency issued by MultCo, TriMet will not turn away anyone traveling to or from a warm place who is unable to pay fare, from 6pm tonight thru 10am, Jan 31. Please let your bus operator know that you are heading to or from a warming shelter or space.

    The test trains are through and MAX is back in Hillsboro. There’s still more work to do and you’ll see us in the area into November, but MAX Blue Line will be running with regular service. Thank you for your patience over the past two week!

    Due to extreme weather conditions and staffing shortage, TriMet is temporarily limiting bus service to primary routes with Frequent Service Lines only. These include lines FX2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 14, 15, 20, 33, 54, 56, 57, 72, 73, 75 and 76. Expect delays. (1/2)

    MAX Orange, Red and Yellow Line trains may run as single, low-floor vehicles due to decreased ridership. Please continue to spread out by at least 3 feet and practice social distancing when you need to ride.

    UPDATE: All bus lines are returning to regular service on 5th & 6th Ave following earlier demonstrations. Expect delays as service is being restored in the area.

    TriMet will begin to restore MAX Service beginning at 1:30 p.m. Please plan additional time for travel and caution on platforms as service is still experiencing delays up to 30 minutes between trains due to weather and staffing shortage. More info at: trimet.org/alerts
