The obsession with Maradona’s addiction issues is a media product. There are millions of cocaine addicts, many of whom very famous. Yet the one obsessively shamed and vilified for decades has been a latino who showed the finger to the powerful. Gold medal of conformism
The Eternaut was an anti-imperialist sci-if comic created by H.G. Oesterheld in 1957. He was kidnapped and assassinated by the U.S. backed dictatorship in 1977. His four daughters (between 18 and 24, two pregnant) were also disappeared. His torturers made sure he died after them.
Just finished watching the first season of The Eternaut on Netflix. An Argentinian (yes, Argentinian) sci-fi show based on an old comic from the late 1950s.
All I can say is wow! Fantastic story, characters & production. Can't wait for season two!

US propaganda bullshit in steroids. At least respect history. The #USSR conquered Berlin and ended the war after losing almost 30 million lives. #VictoryDay
BREAKING: Ukrainian Nazis are getting rid of their SS symbols to stop evil propagandists in one of the smartest marketing moves ever. The Times headline tells how much Western oligarchs support fascists. 🇺🇦✋
Imagine making a video about the US/CIA backed Indonesian genocide and never say, not even once, that the primary target was the Communist Party and that more than a million communists (at least about 500,000) may have been murdered, an extermination in the name of capitalism.
In 2012, the Indonesian government finally admitted to its “crimes against humanity,” from 1965-2003, but little has been done.
Victims are protesting against the settlement program until there has been some sort of accountability.
