Oh Eileen, what have you done? Pants are not one of the things that we recommend putting down the toilet - that's just odd! We found these at one of our sewage treatment works, fortunately they didn't cause a blockage but it could've been bad for Eileen and her neighbours

Weโ€™re giving ยฃ1m to the charities and community groups that are making a difference and helping those struggling as a result of the coronavirus. As well as this, weโ€™re already supporting our customers who have difficulty paying their bill, and those that are most vulnerable.

Beavers are back in the Midlands! Today, two adults were released into their new home at Willington Wetlands in Derbyshire - a project weโ€™ve supported through our #GreatBigNatureBoost. Whatโ€™s good for nature is good for water! @DerbysWildlife ๐Ÿฆซ

We're sorry for anyone in Rugby & certain areas in B'ham who currently have no water or poor pressure. The thaw has caused unprecedented amounts of leaks & is causing problems on our network. Weโ€™re working to get everyone back on supply but this is going to take some time. Sorry!

We are immensely saddened by the news of Sue and Scott. They were much loved by colleagues. Our thoughts are with their family and friends.

The hot weather and us all being at home more is causing a huge increase in demand for water. Our keyworkers are constantly producing more water, but we're asking you to help save water too - raising money for local charities when you do. stwater.co.uk/wonderful-on-tโ€ฆ @EnvAgencyMids

We've had to โ€˜stand downโ€™ a 40 tonne crane when we discovered that pied wagtails had nested in the machinery!

You may see some of our teams still out and about today. Theyโ€™re working hard to provide homes, hospitals and other critical locations with all important water supplies at the moment. Weโ€™re here to look after one of lifeโ€™s essentials, and weโ€™re here to look after you.
