    A boy I used to teach messaged on IG. Last time I saw him was GCSE results day 2013. His message said: I told you I was grateful and that I wouldn’t have made it through without you. You told me don’t be grateful be great. Now I’m doing my PhD and I still think about your words.

    I teach in our education system, I’m not an advocate of it, but I work in it. Almost daily I see people who do not go into schools saying “they don’t teach you about X in school” Almost always… it is something that I know is actually taught in schools. It’s annoying.

    I told the police officer who pulled me over what I do for a living. He said (looking into the car at me): are you sure? I said: oh now that you ask I’m not sure, can I have a minute to think? Him: no need to be cocky. Me: ask stupid questions, get stupid answers. 😤
