Expedition 33 would have never been possible without UE5. The game is a testament of what a relatively small team can build given the built in features and tools freely available in UE5 But since it doesn’t fit the “UE5 is Killing games” narrative, you have idiot takes like this

Soon Threat Interactive fan bois are gonna say that his UE5 fork “is so changed that it can barely be considered UE5” bro changed a single float value… damn, it’s like its a whole new engine. It definitely can’t be considered UE5 anymore!

Threat Interactive thinks Unreal alternatives like Unity and Godot are a “tragic waste” and that “it needs to stop”. You would think a guy like him would understand the basic concept of competition, and why it’s important for the consumer. But nope, they are a “tragic waste”

No, Unreal Engine 5 is NOT killing or destroying games. It's developers lack of knowledge or skill. There are too many loud and proud ARM-CHAIR game developers out here claiming to know the real reason why games aren't performing well like @ThreatInteract

Threat Interactive has to be shitting his pants right now. These guys just added burley BRDF to their custom UE5 fork. And Threat Interactive, rather than working on his own custom fork, has been occupied by stalking UE5 devs for 289 days…

Changes are now live. - Updated diffuse BRDF from lambert to burley. So now you can choose between Burley and Chan (cod ww2) difuse brdf. - PhongBlinn to create that xbox360/ps3 feel or to use as a fallback for lods/small meshes. 🚂🚂 #UnrealEngine #gamedev # #indiedev
