Do not send our team links to Threat Interactive "fault-finders". We work 70 hours a week. We do not have time to follow up on every low quality online rant. We stand by our content and when we do make a error, we address it in our pinned comments. Thanks!

Blur, smear, noise, & flickerly garbage is not realistic.

GREAT NEWS! After years of rejections by @EpicGames, SMAA is finally being integrated into UE5-Main because Threat Interactive together with our viewers & supporters skyrocketed market demand for the feature! Hopefully SMAA, SMAA TX1/2, & SMAA S2X are all supported.

Our 12th Video "Why You Should Unsubscribe From Digital Foundry" has caused @digitalfoundry drop from 1.46M subs to 1.45M in only 3 hours. We made the message...viewers sent it. We are watching the gaming world shift toward a new paradigm.

Now we're upscaling the upscaling in UE5.6 Epic/CDPR pretending 800p is "success". 1080p kicks in when 90% of the world is culled (not rendered) when "close up cinematic shots" are used. 4K Integer scaled 1080p with proper AA is more clear than Witcher 4 upload.

Way too many people will whine "baked lighting, of course it looks good!" when it's only 50% of the story: The lighting models aren't garbage Lambert. SSR(fixed) is superior Supported RT(frustum) shadows Top-notch SSAO Conservative(non-ghosting) TAA Great materials & effects.

You can instantly tell it's a UE5 when you see the over smoothed specular interactions, rubber-like skin, & disgusting UE5 motion blur. Having up-to-date standards is knowing WHY these visuals are dated (upcoming video) & why this isn't actual realism. Good assets, cheap render.

We all know Nvidia's main goal: youtu.be/KEtb0punTHk?t=… But the ultimate shame belongs to: -Studios who keep PIMPING off their IP's to anti-consumer tech marketing campaigns. -Reviewers who refuse to call out this absolute fraudulent direction graphics are going in.

Do we really need pathtracing to get shadows in 2025?

Looks horrible, harsh shadow transitions & unshadowed shading at 1:04-1:11 on many things. Xbox can use blurry VRS. Almost no movement on plants. It's also not the use-case we focus on. Optimization is not "high res & fps". It has to run well & not look like a mobile game.

Noise, blur, smear, & flicker isn't realism. The engine has inherent flaws so stop letting these unreal shills lie to you with "blame the devs not the tools". The tool is broken, and we're well on our way making sure that's a well known fact among the game industry.

Don't play stupid with us @AMD Developers are focusing on the 9th gen console market which offers far more than 8GB for GPU processing meaning modern graphic systems will be VRAM hungry. AMD knows this and are purposely making poor GPUs to bait people into upgrading twice.

Majority of gamers are still playing at 1080p and have no use for more than 8GB of memory. Most played games WW are mostly esports games. We wouldn't build it if there wasn't a market for it. If 8GB isn't right for you then there's 16GB. Same GPU, no compromise, just memory
