Yes... it is our role as trustees in the Education Act to promote student achievement and well-being... to promote a positive school climate... to promote the prevention of bullying and deliver effective and appropriate educational programs.. @tdsb @RobinPilkey @malloy_john

Our teachers unions have been collaborating with us... do not blame teachers... this was a provincial decision. Period.
The @fordnation govt. has rejected Toronto District School Boardโ€™s high school reduced-class-sized plan, partly blaming teachersโ€™ unions. Now the board has to scramble to have plans for kids K-Gr. 12, writes @krushowy

For those e-mailing me using Nazi analogies re the @tdsb request that the province consider mandatory vaccines, STOP. Just stop. This is beyond offensive. #NeverAgain #HolocaustRemembrance #onted

Completely inappropriate using the word โ€œindoctrinateโ€. A new lowโ€ฆ For some children school is the safest place in their lives. I, for one, will continue to support all students as per our @tdsb guidelines tdsb.on.ca/Portals/0/docsโ€ฆ
On stage at Ford Fest in Kitchener, talking about education, Premier Doug Ford emphasizes the importance of parents being informed when "when their children make a decision" "It's not up to the teachers, it's not up to the school boards to indoctrinate our kids." #onpoli

This is not a cut from 4 to 2 - this is an increase of 2 mandatory on-line courses to graduate. Just like class size was not reduced from 1:28 to 1:25 - it is being increased to 1:25 from 1:22.5 Critically important for students to base on facts... on our present reality #onted
#Breaking: Ontarioโ€™s plan for four mandatory online high school courses is being reduced to two, and will be phased in starting with Grade 9 students next fall, Education Minister Stephen Lecce announced Thursday. torstar.co/IUZL50xhkSs

โ€œThis issue of advocating for a safe and equitable return to school, itโ€™s not about advocating for oneโ€™s own community or oneโ€™s own child... This only works if weโ€™re advocating for something thatโ€™s going to support everyone.โ€ via @globeandmail theglobeandmail.com/canada/articleโ€ฆ

He said โ€œ... parents expect their childโ€™s educators to strive toward as normal a learning environment as possible during this periodโ€ There is nothing normal about this... it is emergency remote learning during a pandemic #onted
