    A reminder that getting back to “normal” could have meant smaller class sizes, better indoor air quality, all-ages vaccination drives, free access to tests and high-quality PPE. Instead, we’ve had years now of unending sickness, with our smallest neighbours paying the price 💔

    There’s a film set around the corner from my house and guess what? Everyone is masking. I’ve also heard that the film industry continues to test for covid. Who knew that “living with covid” could mean taking reasonable precautions to keep one another safe? #CovidIsNotOver #MaskON

    Why are we asking people how they feel about dropping mask mandates? We should be asking scientists, public health officials, and medical professionals what the data tell us will happen if we drop mask mandates. Look at UK, Denmark, US. Why is Ontario emulating these places?

    If an Ontario child receives their 1st dose on Nov 25, they will be eligible for their 2nd on Jan 20, with full immunity by Feb 3. The Ford govt must delay their plan to lift restrictions/remove mandates on Jan 17. Let's wait until children (including those <5) are protected.

    Living in Ontario right now: is this what it was like to live through the Trump years in the USA? The sheer volume of disastrous decisions and misleading information coming out of our provincial government is exhausting and makes it difficult to catch one's breath.

    Doug Ford cancelled our wastewater testing program on July 31- a program that only cost about $20M a year and surveilled multiple diseases- without giving a reasonable explanation for why he was doing so. We now have no idea how much H5N1 could already be circulating in Ontario.

    At what point do we look around and admit that we are truly on our own? The Premier is sitting on piles of money, vaccine rollout is too slow, people in LTC are experiencing inhumane deaths, and our schools are unsafe. All the while the Ford comms team posts about cheesecake.

    Hey @Bell #LetsTalk. It's not okay for your technician to come into my home without a mask (when my husband specifically asked that they mask and even gave them a mask) and then, when I ask them to mask, SWEAR at me and storm out. What should I do with this wire? #MaskUp
