Today, I launch the next stage of my PhD research into rave culture in #EastAnglia (that’s #Cambridgeshire, #Norfolk and #Suffolk) between 1989 and 2019. I’m looking for former and current ravers who partied in the region to fill in a quick online survey about their experiences

I’m old enough to have seen Labour in power before, so I can tell you (and Mark) that for all their faults, mistakes and missteps (Iraq being the biggest by far), it was still miles better than the chaos and misery of the last 14 years.

I’m a Brit and I’ve definitely eaten fish and chips with my hands, usually by the seaside or similar (ie out and about). I wouldn’t pick up the whole fish though, like I was handling fried chicken - I’d pull bits off. The tiny wooden forks are useless aside from picking up chips

Daft Punk are massively overrated and you should just spend your time listening to music made by the people they list in the lyrics to 'Teachers' instead.

Sadly a significant portion of the population appears to respond to Johnson and co’s lies and game-playing. They could get Brexit over the line with some compromise without a GE, or by calling another referendum and trusting that people will vote for their deal, but they won’t

Hey .@MattHancock, I’ve seen no sign of that “protective ring” around care homes you talked about, just a protective ring around #DominicCummings

The laughter greeting Johnson’s attempt to claim that the truth matters and that he’s trustworthy in the #LeadersDebate is good to see. He has no integrity at all

Starmer asks detailed questions, Johnson waffles in reply without answering any of them, and then a swivel eyed Tory MP gets up to brown nose the dribbling morality vacuum/ part time prime minister and prattle on about free trade. Pathetic. #borisjohnsonspeech

If this whole episode helps strip back the influence of the Merchant Venturers on civic life in Bristol then it will have achieved a lot- marginalising them from the decision making process is long overdue
