For full context, here is the entire video of Cornell University Professor Russell Rickford speaking about Hamas terrorist attacks. Thanks to @nnn_Netanel_nnn for sharing.
The saga continues…
Professor Rickford standing by his comments. “What I was referring to is in those first few hours, when they broke through the apartheid wall, that it seemed to be a symbol of resistance, and indeed a new phase of resistance in the Palestinian struggle.”
Cornell University was littered with graffiti overnight. From sidewalks to trees, the beautiful Ithaca campus was desecrated with anti-Israel rhetoric. University staff are actively working to remove the spray paint.
Cornell University Professor Russell Rickford has released a statement through The Cornell Daily Sun.
No mention of Hamas.
No mention of terrorism.
No apology to the Cornell Jewish community.
But he does apologize for his choice of words. Do you think this is enough?
Cornell SJP hosted a Chanukah celebration for ceasefire. They blew a shofar and lit a random assortment of candles. If organized by Jews why the shofar? Why no menorah? Cultural appropriation anyone? @Cornell please step in.

A Cornell student was arrested after posting threats to kill Jewish students on an online discussion forum. I believe the FBI was collecting evidence from his apartment.
President of Cornell compared the terrorism in Israel to a natural disaster. Crazy statement, especially for a school with a >20% Jewish student population. Great showing tonight at the vigil for Israel in front of Cornell’s clock tower.
