A plea to both @JustinTrudeau and @erinotoole . I personally know both of you reasonably well and you are both honourable and good men. Get rid of the scummy attacks from both of your parties and let’s see a good, clean fight based on your policies to make 🇨🇦a greater place!
Canada is at a crossroads. Although the tariff chaos is a major issue and distraction for Canada, we have put ourselves in a vulnerable position based on a decade of neglect. We need to change course for the future of our country. It will need to be an entrepreneurial led course.
I am very confused here. Canada has not disclosed an official budget since the disastrous one in April 2024. How is it acceptable to wait 18 months for the next one despite the same government in power. This is a critical budget so we understand well which direction we are going.
Where have all the entrepreneurs in Canada gone? Canada’s prosperity rests on its ability to grow the economic pie for everyone. At the core r entrepreneurs. They r the mavericks & visionaries who choose to build businesses here. Our future national prosperity hangs in the balance
For this Thanksgiving weekend, I am thankful to be riding my bicycle once again and sipping coffee at my favourite coffee shop. I am thankful for @TjDonnelly and Mike Gallagher riding the 25km return trip alongside me to ensure that I was safe. #NeversayNever#spinalcordinjury
Pierre Poilievre (@PierrePoilievre) shares his vision for making Canada the world's best place to build a life—with practical solutions for a more prosperous future.
TKP is not a political podcast—and won't become one. I've invited both major party leaders to share their visions
How can there be any credibility left when the leading Liberal candidates are all pitching ideas that Poiliviere has pitched which they staunchly defended ie. first carbon taxes and now capital gains taxes.
NEW: Chrystia Freeland will scrap Canada's capital gains tax hike if she's elected leader, a source says. It's a major reversal from her budget presented just last spring, but Trump's election changes Canada's situation dramatically, she will argue. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
Thank you to all the amazing folks at @AirCanada from check-in, to security, and then on-board with a new model of lightweight wheelchair design that conveniently folds for cabin storage. It has made my first flight since my accident a pleasure! 🙏
And we are thrilled that @tobi did!The CEO of a $15 billion tech giant explains his decision to keep the company in Canada when VCs told him 'move or no deal' read.bi/2IFHAyW via @BIPrime
Note to all levels of government in Canada. Knock it off with the “advantage” of cheap tech labour!! We have outstanding tech talent and we need to scale-up so we can compete effectively for talent. We are not a branch plant economy!!!
Part of the problem is that some tech leaders and politicians list lower salaries in Canada as a selling feature to attract big foreign tech giants to locate here. Great if we want to build a branch plant economy, not so great if we want to grow GDP meaningfully and prosper
Chrystia Freeland resigns as Minister of Finance. The Federal government is now in free fall. That’s the second Finance Minister pushed out and the 3rd major female cabinet member to be pushed out for not agreeing with PMO.
“2019 study of 32 countries found that higher capital-gains taxes leads to a reduction of startups receiving venture capital in statistically & economically significant way.”Freeland defends capital gains hike despite widespread criticism from tech leaders theglobeandmail.com/business/artic…
