Our family are so pleased that after 36 nights on a Covid Ward my wife Naledi Kline finally came home last night. Our huge thanks to the staff on Rowan and Rainbow wards at Barnet General Hospital @RoyalFreeNHS for the care and support you gave.

This Guidance on shielding was issued at 10.33pm last night to come into force 87 minutes later. Pathetic

Sorry. I have no doubt you are all highly talented. But are there really no BME clinicians in the top team? I'm sure I'll be unpopular for asking but please can we have a senior leadership team a bit like the NHS workforce in London. If I've misread this picture please tell me.
Meet the Nightingale London leadership team👋 The newest NHS hospital will be led by an experienced and talented team, who will work tirelessly to care for patients.

This is a good man , wise beyond his years. ““I remember the sound of my mum crying herself to sleep to this day, having worked a 14-hour shift, unsure how she was going to make ends meet. That was my reality.”” theguardian.com/p/eyq3b/stw

Leadership that is compassionate has done well in these tough times - calling me the 'soft & fluffy' guy is slowly fading - now science has waded in to help further with evidence that 'kindness' is the quality that makes the difference. ivyexec.com/career-advice/…

When Sajid Javid says (20th October 2021) that he doesn't "believe the pressures on the NHS are unsustainable" I am reminded of this.

Yesterday, Health Secretary Stephen Barclay wrote to all NHS organisations telling them to "cease recruiting into standalone EDI roles". Here is the Open Letter the @BMJLeader published from me on his last piece of similar nonsense about equality. blogs.bmj.com/bmjleader/2023…
