- One way to get Trump re-elected is for Democrats to start talking a lot about "defunding the police." It doesn't even matter what they mean by it--the phrase itself is just a surefire political loser.
- Both of my daughters have been arrested over the past week for refusing to disperse at pro-ceasefire demonstrations in New York. I raised those girls right!
- I turned 60 this week, but I look at it this way: As our president has shown, 70 is the new 11.
- Option 3: Use our massive leverage with Israel (including the fact that the weapons & ammo used in Gaza come from us) to stop the war in Gaza. That would end the Houthi attacks in the Red Sea. But that would call for some political courage from Biden, so never mind.
- Have you considered deploying this kind of intellectual humility on a geopolitical scale?
- I watched Tucker Carlson tonight. (Not a habit of mine.) Is there a single host on CNN or "liberal" MSNBC who is as forthrightly against mindless US militarism as he is? That's a serious question--I don't watch enough cable news to know. But I suspect the answer is no.
- Hillary now has two respectable options: either provide evidence to back this up or apologize to Stein and Gabbard. Anything else is an indictment of her character.
- I'm not aware of a single Mexican or Muslim immigrant who has done as much damage to the US as Rupert Murdoch.
- These three instances of brainlock happened within a span of 2.5 minutes. And the Democratic establishment has decided to bet the ranch on the proposition that he'll perform well for the next 3.5 months?Forget politics, this is hard to watch on a purely human level. Let this poor guy rest.

Again, the interview was tough, but fair. I've seen CBS journalists grill other guests. Isn't it disrespectful to think Coates couldn't handle an interview like that?
