    39 years ago today - Saturday, July 13th, 1985 - it was scorching hot inside JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. I was there with a TV crew to shoot the biggest concert of the 80s, Live Aid. For everyone there & watching around the world, it was unforgettable. Did you tune in that day?

    OMG-there's a little kid from a small town in England with tears in his eyes as he types this in total disbelief. If only Mum & Dad were here to share this with me - a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Never in a 1000 years did I think this honor would come my way. Thank you.

    I could not have said it better. No wonder the man is an iconic songwriter (as well as one of the greatest performers ever). Please watch and understand. This election should not be on party lines, it should be for the survival of our country. It cannot survive on fear and hate.

    We just lost Shannen Doherty to cancer. She was only 53. She was a little kid when I worked with her on Girls Just Want To Have Fun, and went on to have mega TV success with 90120. Shannen passed away surrounded by her loved ones and her doggy, Bowie. So sad and much too young.

    Sad news just in. Sam Rubin, the longtime entertainment reporter for KTLA TV, has passed away from a heart attack. He was such a nice guy, and I always looked forward to seeing him at events in Hollywood. RIP Sam.

    It was 34 years ago today - June 18th, 1988 - Depeche Mode sold out the Rose Bowl in Pasadena with Wire, @ThomasDolby & @OfficialOMD. I had the honor to introduce them, today on @SIRIUSXM @1stwave Wave we'll play lots of cuts from that unforgettable concert. Were you there?

    So sad. Terry Hall of The Specials has passed away. Terry was the backbone of The Specials and Fun Boy Three. He co-wrote Our Lips Are Sealed with girlfriend Jane Weidlin about their secret relationship. He was a great talent and will be sadly missed by all who love great music.
