Had a pretty hard grind in understanding the joint fine tuning of RAG of retriever and generator , first understood the loss function involved in solely generator models and then understood the joint training , fine tuning and loss functions of RAG sequence and RAG token based

On the weekends, I was writing to complete the article on RAG. As month passed by , I didn't knew I crossed 7000+ words writing it (it's a detailed read of 30 minutes) , I have attached my notes too on loss functions and back-prop on generative models in the article at last plus

Anyone else thinking of doing Msc in AI/deep learning in the coming 2-3 years , maybe after clg or after gaining some work ex , can we built a community to make us remind that we have to strive to learn and apply more and to be research oriented most of the time.

Back to building stuff!!! Multi-agentic , have implemented search agent , now would encorporate RAG based conversational chatbot. After that , a future agent (LLM powered). Work in progress 🤞

Thank you @_inesmontani for building spaCy , it tells us that , NLP isn't only deep learning , transformers and LLMs. It's so useful for certain tasks all at one place , more imp - production friendly. spaCy have most things all at one place and reminds - not to use sword for a

Pov , 1:30 AM thoughts - Maths , Statistics , classical ML are always fun to learn , deep dive into the mathematical concepts , building out something from ML seems okay , but getting into the sole depth of SVMs , XG boost , GD , Central limits , p-value feels more crazy stuff.
