that’s literally not the point
the point is someone working in high finance in nyc with an MBA can barely afford a middle class lifestyle
they aren’t saying they can’t save money eating rice and beans and never going out
the deals are so bad that not having to give away a third of your company for $50k is probably a good thing. just being on the show is worth many times that.
$1k a month on clothing when you’re required to wear a suit everyday to work and you have a family you also need to buy clothes for is “insane luxury” apparently
how much does one nice suit cost as a percentage of a $12k family budget quickly.
That wasn’t something I was even discussing?
And you’re wrong. The median total comp last year for NYC is literally less than $300k. Someone out of MBA with no prior experience might be placed in a jr role and $230k is exactly in line there
$12k for a family is $4k-$5k clothes annually for one of three. you’re screaming about someone buying a couple new things a year who works in a formal environment as not doing middle class things my god
