    Went to adopt an orange cat. Didn’t feel connected with any of them. Went back 3 days later. Employee asked if I’d be willing to meet another cat that had been there for 3 months with no adoption apps. Opened the kennel, he jumped on my shoulder and nuzzled. He came home with me!

    Joe is wondering if there would be interest/an audience for him to do a concert broadcast live for Twitter in the upcoming days. Some of his shows have been canceled due to coronavirus concerns anyway, he thinks maybe this could be cool for those self quarantining. Thoughts?

    If you want to learn more about this machine and Joe check out his website (that his friend created/runs for him!). Joe has also restored a Fotoplayer for @TheAcademy and has done shows for them using this machine to accompany silent films.

    Update: Joe needs to tune the Fotoplayer before he can perform but we’re hoping for a show for everyone by the end of the week! Will likely be an hour long with a q&a and he wants to run a silent film short he can accompany for part of it. Once a date/time is set I’ll let u know!

    One of my close childhood friends is from Colombia and I was told her mother was congratulated by her family for marrying a lighter skinned man bc that meant her babies would be light skinned. So sad.

    I remember reading an interview w/ Rooney once where she said they didn’t live like rich people growing up and shopped at the Gap, which was hilarious to me because when I was a kid I thought only rich people could afford to shop at the Gap.
