- The Holocaust was legal. Slavery was legal. Segregation was legal. The brave woman who cared for and hid my 6 year-old aunt in an attic in Budapest was a criminal. She broke the law by sheltering Juden. Legality is not a guide for morality.

- Replying to @jzanier468My grandmother was sent to Auschwitz with the rest of Budapest’s 200,000 Jews. She met my grandfather there. Grandfather was a medical doctor, so he was kept alive. My aunt was hid in a box, in an attic in Budapest. A brave neighbour kept her cared for (and quiet).
