    This is me and my mom, 48 years ago. She is currently critically ill. I'm flying tomorrow to Mexico City. She is an Endocrinologist who was still practicing last week. She just celebrated 50 years as Professor of Medicine. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

    Meds for intubation: Fentanyl - 0.5-2 mcg/kg - chest wall rigidity w rapid admin - don’t inhibit awareness Midazolam - 0.1-0.3 mg/kg - amnesia Etomidate - 0.2-0.3 mg/kg - min CV effect - can induce myoclonus - transient adrenal supression - may cause seizures #FCCS

    This morning my mother started her journey toward the stars. 1936-2022. A new star will shine in heaven tonight. She will have hugs and laughter with her parents, her departed friends and loved ones including our pets. Te quiero mucho ma, me vas a hacer mucha falta. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

    Igual aquí en @ClevelandClinic. Acetaminofén solamente. Ni vitaminas, ni suplementos. Mucho menos medicamentos sin sustento de evidencia. Lo único que usamos en el piso de Medicina Hospitalaria es Dexametasona y Remdesivir. Y oxígeno. Punto.

    En nuestro hospital (en Cleveland, Ohio, 🇺🇸) todos los médicos usamos 100% en las áreas clínicas cubrebocas y visera de plástico o goggles. Yo uso los dos. Y para mi todo mundo tiene COVID hasta no demostrar lo contrario. Cuídense. Saludos!
