I'm forever humbled and grateful to have served our City as mayor. These past four years were filled with challenges, yet we achieved and celebrated so much together.
Thank you, Chicago, for the honor and privilege of a lifetime.
53 years ago, marriages like ours were illegal. Today, I'm raising an incredible child freely and openly with the love of my life. But it's not lost on us that we still live in a world with too much hate. There's still much work to do. Let's all do more in this fight. #LovingDay
It's no surprise that @realDonaldTrump brought his insulting, ignorant buffoonery to Chicago. Luckily, in this city, we know the truth and we will not let anyone — no matter how high the office — denigrate who we are as a people or our status as a welcoming city.
