    On March 1, 2012, U.S. Marine Cpl. Conner T. Lowry was killed in action while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He will always be remembered in our community as a brave United States Marine, a loving son and brother, and a loyal friend.

    33 years ago today Chicago Police Officer Irma Ruiz was killed in a gun battle inside Moses Montefiore School protecting innocent children. She left behind a husband and four young children. God bless the Ruiz family & the men and women of the CPD. @cpdmemorial @Chicago_Police

    At 3:45pm today an armed offender walked in BP Amoco (10300 S Western) & held up the cashier at gunpoint. At 6:00pm Chicago Police placed a person of interest in custody. LPR & POD cameras assisted authorities in tracking bad guy. Great Work CPD! @cookcountysao @Chicago_Police

    All 4 individuals involved in the vicious, unprovoked attack of an employee at Barraco’s Restaurant have been charged with multiple felonies. They will appear in bond court tomorrow morning at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse. @Chicago_Police @cookcountysao

    Shortly before 5:00pm, four offenders committed a vehicular hijacking on the 2000 block of W. 102nd St. Illinois State Police & Chicago Police have all four offenders in custody, awaiting charges. Great work by law enforcement! @ILStatePolice @ChicagoCAPS22 @cookcountysao
