On 07 June, Bt. 2213 attempted to stop an individual riding a bicycle on the sidewalk. The offender fled on foot while holding a handgun, but was quickly apprehended on the 9400 blk of S. Ada. Weapon was recovered. Charges: Felony UPW and riding a bike on the sidewalk.

On 08 June, Bt. 2261A conducted a traffic stop in the 11400 block of S. Elizabeth. During the investigation, officers recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, a loaded magazine, and cannabis. Both occupants were taken into custody and charged accordingly.

Thank you to everyone that helped make the 22nd District Vehicle Safety Day a success. With the support of OEMC, the CC Sheriff's office, Alderman Mosley, and Jiffy Lube, 70 anti-theft steering wheel locks were provided and 100 catalytic converters were registered.
