- announcing @stell_space $4M seed raise I believe in this mission more than ever Existing requirements and compliance software is causing massive loss of speed and innovation + critical engineering software should be build in the USA ๐บ๐ธ
- Manufacturing is a great career for problem solvers of all types Yes it involves nerd stuff like robotics and operations, but it also features problems/opportunities in human behavior and motivation, communication structures, complex logic problems, and materials science
- Why Space? ๐ -help solve critical problems for earth (climate, disease) -tech for earth (GPS, comms) -national security -make a financial return -advance basic science and knowledge -tourism to advance perspectives -humans are explorers Which reasons resonate with you?
- Great to meet you and participate. Our team @stell_space is excited to support Replicator with tools for our industrial base! @DepSecDef @DIU_xToday Iโm speaking with more than a dozen small and mid-size businesses about our Replicator Initiative - which will field thousands of attritable autonomous systems to help counter potential threats from our strategic competitors.
- So proud to be one of your portfolio companies @NWischoff Congratulations on an amazing investor summit. The cowboy hats and country music made NYC feel like home ๐ค
- Weโre debating how to fix SBIR contracts in real time. โHow do we make sure these small businesses donโt stay small?โ
- Some news this morning... @stell_space is proud to be the first investment in @NWischoff Wischoff Ventures Fund 2! techcrunch.com/2022/12/16/solโฆ
- This is not how I expected news to get out, but yes: I am shutting down Countdown. We've delivered strong performance, but I believe the future of this space favors larger firms than mine. I don't know what the future holds for me yet, but I look forward to sharing once ready.
- Why do SBIR solicitations come out only once per year or in short intervals? Why not keep open topic areas on a rolling basis? Hard to imagine a start up founder / small biz in September planning to apply for $150,000 in funding for March of the the next year ๐
- I keep hearing this idea that engineers at primes are โ2nd tierโ, โnot innovativeโ ๐ These ppl ARE talented and build critical tech for USA with little fanfare (and huge barriers) Primes mirror their govt incentives Those without top eng degrees can be amazing engineers
- Thank you @jslishi for being our first check with @NWischoff Wouldnโt be here without your belief in usCouldn't be more excited for @stell_space. Continuing to exceed expectations! GO GO GO!!! techcrunch.com/2024/03/11/steโฆ
- Shoutout to the builders & operators In an environment of criticism, fear, and incremental improvement, it is a bold act to wake up each morning and build a rocket/satellite/factory โโฆIf he fails, at least fails by daring greatlyโ
- Amazing energy here tonight ahead of the Tech & Security Conference at @HarvardHBS tomorrow. Meeting founders, young engineers, and investors that are building the future of space & defense ๐ฐ
