    31 years ago today, 96 people lost their lives at Hillsborough Stadium. We invite you to watch the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir performing ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ sung in memory of those who died, in an arrangement by Chorus Master, Ian Tracey. Performed 26 April 2016

    We are saddened to hear that past Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra principal flautist Atarah Ben-Tovim has died. Known to thousands of children who grew up in the 60s and 70s simply as “Atarah”, she will always be an important part of the history of Liverpool Philharmonic.

    After 41 years with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, violinist Jim Hutton is retiring. It was Jim’s childhood dream to play in a professional orchestra, and we’re so glad he brought his talent to ours. Thank you for everything, Jim, and all the best for the future!

    We’re deeply saddened to hear of the passing of musical icon, Burt Bacharach. The writer behind some of the greatest songs of the 20th century, it was an honour to have him perform here at the Hall back in 2016. He will be greatly missed.
