00:00 - There will be lots of nice things said and written about Danny Mullins after his brilliant winning ride on Flooring Porter today, but here's a story from an interview with trainer John Ryan in the RP last year that stayed with me. Hard not to wish the best for a fella like this.
- Horse racing needed a hero after what was the most challenging year it has ever faced. Rachael Blackmore has stepped up to the mark and delivered results at Cheltenham and Aintree that feel incredibly important for the sport in the broadest sense. Today was simply sensational.
- When the sport needed a big lift, the Cheltenham Festival delivered! The game is far from perfect and we must keep pushing to make it better, but that was some serious sport this week. Human and equine heroes everywhere. What a joy to watch. 🙌

- Say hello to Mrs Deirdre Blake! For obvious reasons we couldn’t celebrate the day with all of our family and friends, but yesterday this very special lady officially became my wife. Here’s to the future. 🙂

00:00 - Dramatic and indeed sad scenes at Fairyhouse. It was always going to be a big gamble to pop the question on a public stage like that, but in fairness to the lad, he bounced back quickly!
00:00 - Still utterly in awe at what we witnessed in the Mares’ Hurdle. The strength the de Bromhead family and their entire team have shown in the last six months has been incredible. Sport mirrors life and Honeysuckle channeled that strength today. Never known an atmosphere like it. 🥲
- How utterly cruel life can be. It is hard to comprehend what Michael’s family, friends and colleagues are going through. RIP Michael O’Sullivan. 😔
- Rachael Blackmore is just incredible, but where she came from makes it so much more remarkable. She turned pro in 2015 in her mid-20s after riding just seven winners in five years as an amateur. She was going no where. Who could have dreamed she'd end up here? She did.
