    Al Riffa had very special visitors on Owning Hill this morning as his part owner Mr Masaaki Matsushima and legendary Japanese jockey Yutake Take came to see him. Yutake will ride Al Riffa in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe on October 6th and it was great to get them acquainted.

    Thank you for all the messages this week. Having two winners at Cheltenham was a huge thrill, but to be honest, the week felt like a disaster after losing Sir Erec. It was a big team effort at home and abroad all week and I am very grateful for everyone’s hard work.

    Wow! I know it probably sounds like autopilot at this stage, but I can’t thank all of the team enough. As well as everyone at home, we have people in America, Australia, France and Italy with runners right now. It’s takes so much work from everyone to make these days happen.

    It’ll be a while before today fully sinks in! Latrobe gave us everything and Donnacha was brilliant on him. Thank you for all the messages and particular thanks to Lloyd and Nick Williams who have been such great supporters of the yard. This was a very special day.
