- A quick word on the ERLC news: in my opinion, Brent should have been shown the door when he used ERLC staff to further his private interests in the Covenant manifesto litigation. This was a conflict of interest and abuse of authority.
- Today’s announcement proves more than ever that Moore was seeking revenge. Not one church. Not one entity. Not one leader at the EC indicted or facing criminal charges after Moore’s claims. It was demagoguery, plain and simple.
- Kudos to the person(s) with the courage to tell the President of the United States whatever it was that stuck with him like this. Pray that it grows into something even deeper. 00:00 - I'm not saying Evangelicals should pursue policies just to get a seat at the table of the powerful. But Trump just did more to assemble a multi-racial coalition than a decade of MDivs trying to spit out the bones of CRT.

- I read the chapter. I regret spending any time taking the “debunked” claims at face value. Ortlund is treated as someone who should know better than to uncritically repeat talking points. Not accused of taking money, but failing to shepherd well. His video lacks context.
- 12 negative reviews, 7 mention Ortlund. None are verified purchasers.

- Just nine months ago, @ERLC staff promised that they would always ask these seven questions before taking actions. All seven of these questions counseled against signing this letter. But EIT called, and the letter was signed. The @erlc letter to Congress says biblical convictions make the Dignity Act a "necessary reform." So, not only does the letter go beyond SBC resolutions, it suggests the bill is a necessary result of proper evangelical beliefs.
- Appreciate this clear statement of @albertmohler on the BFM and government contracts: “When I was elected president, there was an absolute consensus among SBC leaders that SBC institutions should not take government money of any kind,” he said. “If that sentence did not end in
- I guarantee somebody got Paul’s epistles and claimed they’d been misrepresented.
- Replying to @joelraineyMaybe Rosaria was just giving pastors a solid challenge, like the other English Lit PhDs you appreciate.
