    A few times a year I will have a player say “I can’t train on game day, coach” All-State pitcher @mhupke2001 was able to attend speed training at 7:30 am and pitch a complete game in the regional final to qualify for state. #championshipmentality #alwaysgettingbetter

    With the umpire shortage I’ve seen some great photos of young umpires. I wanted to recognize another group. We have 2 school administrators taking the afternoon off to help umpire softball. New Union HS supt. @JohnHoward1996 and Indee AP @dewhup5 . #servantleadership

    Last day with students in my 13th year in education. Been a couple interesting years in there and a lot has been said negative about the profession. I still find it to be a great profession. Schools have great kids who need great people working with them as much now as ever.

    Really proud of our team and coaches tonight. Qualified for the round of 16 and were pod champions. Great to see the growth in these guys each week. This staff has done a great job this year. Also shout out to my wife.
