I just realized that it's been just over a decade since Snapper was first released.
For this 10 year anniversary, I'll add a 10% percent discount for 10 days, starting today.
Snapper 2 just got OCR. Now you can extract the text from the snaps automatically if you're on iOS 13. Just drag the snap to the OCR button just like you're used too when closing/saving snaps.
Let me explain a bit more about Snapper 3. Specifically how it differs from "2", new features, what and why things are changed, pricing, and so on.
The goal is for you to see if it is worth buying, or not. It's also nice to explain it so there's that too.
Long thread ahead

Snapper 3
Hello, I've been working on Snapper 3, on and off, since 2021, and I am nearly ready for an actual release.
I've had a couple of weeks of private beta testing and before an actual release I would like to invite a couple of more people to this.
Info in next tweet:
I have here BigShotJb as a plugin to Snapper 3 github.com/jontelang/BigS…. I don't have time to host on repo, so please install manually. I suppose if someone wants to re-host it, that's fine as well.
I’m a biased dev, these are my tweaks. They’ve both kinda been around since 2013!
Snapper 2 - let’s you keep screenshot floating on screen (and does OCR) repo.packix.com/package/com.jo…
InstaLauncher 2 - Nice app launcher reddit.com/r/jailbreak/co…
Snapper 2 version 2.5 is available now (since a day maybe) and includes QR scanning tool.
It will open a website if it is a URL in the QR code, or it will copy the text/code to your clipboard if it is not a URL.
You can turn it on/off in the settings app.
Quite a few people have requested the (faster) swipe to delete from Snapper 2 to be implemented in 3. Before I consider that, what do you all think of an even faster day, an optional double tap? Been using it for a little while now and I quite like it.
After some positive feedback from the beta, I decided to release “Pipper” on the App Store. It lets you keep a screenshot floating on the screen, across apps.
apps.apple.com/th/app/pipper/…
It’s not as powerful as Snapper 2, obviously, but it gets the job done when you really need it.
Snapper 3, version 1.2 is sent to Havoc so it should be available sooner or later. Here's the changes:
- You can now double tap to dismiss a snap. Toggling the shadow has been moved to triple tap.

Found this old unreleased tweak I made a very long time ago. Still think it looks kinda neat.
Hard to see in the video but the whole area is slightly transparent.
