ScreenMemory does NOT send any of your recorded data away from your device. All data is stored locally. Temporary internet connectivity is only required for license verification (once or twice a month).
It depends on your settings (screenshot interval, number of monitors etc.), but for a typical developer (8 hours/day at 60s captures), it uses about 280MB/day. Screenshots of text compress very well.
It is as secure as your computer. If someone has access to your files, they can see your data, just like your other documents. We plan to add encrypted storage in the future for an extra layer of protection.
ScreenMemory supports macOS 13 (Ventura) and above. It is a universal binary, meaning it works natively and efficiently on both Intel and Apple Silicon (M-series) Macs.
