BOOM. Hey, what's up, voice actor friends, prospective clients, and generally awesome people everywhere? Finally got around to making a new character demo reel.
Love this bit. I feel like people forget, all the time-- she *adores* him. Just because they're not together doesn't mean she doesn't care deeply about him, and vice versa. If you're not writing her as ride-or-die, you're doing it wrong.
It’s so wild to me that Nick Lowe can see all this discourse surrounding the new Ultimate Spider-Man book— all the discussion, all the excitement, all the genuine happiness— and he can still go “Nahhh, bro, it’s better if we keep ‘em *mad*”.
WTF kind of business model is that?
It’s never been topped.
Apropos of nothing, they really should be a “DC Beyond” label, where it’s just a bunch of interconnected future books, a-la Marvel 2099, with Terry as the flagship.
Honestly, kind of surprised they haven’t done that already.
There is no excuse to not have this be the main book. This is what we want. This book is selling like crazy. Just give us this, Marvel. Take my money. I want to give you my money. Stop being so stubborn and weird.
Get your script done before you cast people.

Get your script done before—
Hey, voice actors, any of you ever pass on a casting call because, while there seemed to be nothing obviously wrong with it, you just didn’t like the vibe? Like you couldn’t put your finger on it, but something about it just made you go “no, thanks.”
Or am I just weird?
Indie VA pet peeves:
Stop casting early.
On CCC, mark people as cast. Don’t just send them a DM telling them they got it.
Provide context for audition lines.
Don’t demand improv as audition lines, unless it’s an improv project.
And stop casting way before there’s a script.
STOP. CASTING. EARLY.
Listen. You are screwing *yourself* when you do this.
Stop casting the *first person* whose voice you think sounds good. (Unless it's me. ;) ) No, but seriously, you have NO IDEA what kind of killer performances you might miss because you jumped the gun.
