Sure to be an unpopular opinion. But, assuming he works full time, he is underpaid.

15/ The incentive to pursue a career as a physician scientist and then work at an academic center could be impacted. This is a long road with significant financial uncertainty and the policy may exacerbate this uncertainty.

Thread/ This is a tough time for all of us in clinical medicine, but it’s also incredibly clarifying. If your organization has no positive role to play in this circumstance, how much hubris must you have to believe that you ever have a role to play? medicaleconomics.com/news/covid-19-…

3/ Indirect percentages do NOT represent total overhead as they are applied to direct costs. So for grant with 1M direct costs at a university that gets 60% indirects, the total indirect costs received is 600K Thus 60% indirect = 0.6/1.6 = 37.5% total overhead costs.

Thread/ Why must cath lab personnel have N95 for STEMI in patients with unknown #COVID19 status? 1) pre-test prob of COVID in these cases is high, over 50% in Lombardy experience 2) These pts have risk for vomiting, cough, emerg intubation, and arrest. @SCAI, @herbaronowMD
