Liverpool were on a 17 match winning streak until they met Ole’s United. Man City were on 29 game unbeaten streak and a 21 game winning streak until they met Ole’s United. Galatasaray were on a 28 game unbeaten streak until they met Ole’s Besiktas. Normal stuff.

Firstly, this wouldn’t happen under SAF. Under the stability of the SAF era, Rashford would’ve consistently been one of the best players in the world. Secondly, Rashford’s statement wasn’t said out of a desire to leave but out of acknowledgment that the club wanted to sell him.

It wasn’t just the simpletons on Twitter but also his very own teammates and our “legends” that were constantly questioning him. Bear in mind, this was a game we set a European record in: 1st team to score 6 goals in a European Semi since 1964.

Him and Maguire were our best defensive partnership since Rio & Vidic. Had his weaknesses, like every single player does, but he was solid, reliable and an honest professional. Better than most, if not all that was bought in to replace him. Shiny Toys and all that.
