So so sad to hear about Dave Myers. Our Zoe loved him so much that she wanted to go to the School fancy dress day as Dave of @HairyBikers she was only 10 years old then. She started getting interested in cooking all because of him. She'll be devastated.

- The last few days have been awful, but now finding the time to celebrate Mum's life with fond memories of our 28 years working together. The card shop in Heaven better look out, she's on her way to organise you & get it running more efficiently. She was a legend, I'll miss her ❤️
- To the precious little darlings who attempted to break into our shop last night there is something you haven't considered:- My Sister lives upstairs and if you upset her then God help you, she makes John Rambo look like one of the choir Boys from Llandaff Cathedral.
- If you hadn't noticed we've been closed this week. Tommy my 19yr old Autistic Son was tested postive for Covid last weekend so we are all isolating at home. Tommy seems O.K., I keep asking him "how you feeling Tommy" ?? his stock answer is "I can't taste my Mars bar."
- Very proud of Kim & Kev who have the cafe across the road, they haven't been able to open for 4 months but instead of doom&gloom, moaning&groaning they have put money into their fab cafe and having a total bi-folding, flooring, and painting refit. Good luck on the re-open.
- 1979 & the Sony Walkman was the thing, Bell bottoms were the fashion, it snowed in Sahara, Sid Vicious popped his clogs, Kourtney Kardashian was born & 2 teachers from Cardiff opened a Bookshop in Llandaff High St. We are 40 years old tomorrow. 6-8 pm pop in for Bubbles + nibbles
- Replying to @RoseUnwinOur Tommy is Autistic and has had the most wonderful education throughout his young life but will never sit an exam. We are still teaching him how to do his laces, shower him properly and put a hat on the right way round, but he teaches us a few things about life too.
- Thank you so much to @jasonmohammad for giving our Tommy a big shout out today on his @BBCRadioWales show. You made this Boy very happy . Thanks again Jase. X
00:00 - When you are a self-employed retailer you are always second-guessing, re-thinking, worrying, tidying, re-arranging, wondering, & trying. So when a couple tell you that they have driven all the way from Swansea to buy their cards from us "IT ABSOLUTELY MAKES YOUR DAY"
- A 1000 apologies for not getting back to you all earlier but I've spent a very happy Father's day building the foundations of Nicky's 'She Shed', ....however drum roll please 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 We raised £996 in the Father's day card giveaway for @NHSMillion Thanks so so much.🎉🎉
- After a sad week dealing with Mum the mood was lightened somewhat by my Daughter Zoe who decided to do a video while she was meant to be working. My Mum would have approved, expecially as it is set to E.L.O. one of her favourite bands.
00:00 - Just had Michael Sheen in the shop, he's dead handsome even under the bushiest beard you've ever seen. He was having a nice quiet 5 minutes to himself looking at the cards, it must be a proper pain in the arse being recognised all the time. Glad I'm just Pete the cardshop.
- The wiring in Tommy's Autistic brain is incredible. We just drove past a pub in Marshfield, he turned to me & said "we went there on Sunday 18th of November 2007 with Uncle Jeff, we had Pork & I didn't like the gravy." He was 6 yrs old. I can't remember where I left my car keys.
