    Yesterday in Istanbul a disabled Syrian girl swapped out her tin can legs for prosthetics. Fleeing Syria's civil war Maya, from Aleppo, has been living in a camp in Idlib. What a brave and beautiful little girl - her life now transformed by a doctors act of kindness. @Reuters

    These campaign posters dot highways across Istanbul. It reads ‘Syrians will go’ alongside opposition candidate Kemal Kiliçdaroğlu. A Syrian, living here 7yrs, told me, “my children can read those signs it’s impossible for me to hide them.” She says her son is bullied at school.

    An Israeli who ran from gunmen attacking her community told us tonight: “There is nothing that can justify what’s happened, yet I know what they’ve been through. I’ve heard their stories and when so much hate builds up in you this is the outcome. Desperate people are dangerous.”

    Doctors at Al Shifa hospital say all medical work has had to stop. There are around 15,000 people in the hospital (wounded and displaced). There’s no food, water, electricity or internet. Babies are dying in incubators.
