- We thank you for working with us this morning. At 10:15, the SPP lifted the current order and intermittent outages have been suspended at this time. Power should be coming back online soon for those impacted. We thank you for conserving energy and ask that you continue to do so.
- It was also a no-look pass and the kids we brought to #ChiefsCamp from @HelpKCKids & @bbbsstjoe saw it all live! 💚💙
00:00I’d tweet about Patrick Mahomes throwing a 20-yard behind the back pass to Clyde Edwards-Helaire, but you’d probably want video, which we aren’t allowed to shoot during this period. So I’ll hold off. - It's been a rough day, but we thank you for sticking with us and our crews as we restore power throughout our service area. There were 270,000 customers without power at some point today. We're down to about 5,000.
- As a longtime supporter of the @NLBMuseumKC, we are happy to share the stage with @nlbmprez and honor the contributions of this important historical institution. See you all at the @ThePlazaKC on November 24! 💚💙
- We're resuming 30 to 60 minute intermittent outages due to regional power supply needs as directed by Southwest Power Pool. If your power is out for more than an hour, please report it ⬇️ MO and MO/KS Metro Customers: 888-544-4852 KS Central Customers: 800-544-4857
00:00- 🚨 OUTAGE UPDATE 🚨 As of 7 a.m., we have about 100,000 Evergy customers without power in our service area. More than 186,000 Evergy customers lost power as Friday’s storm and high winds moved across Kansas and Missouri.
- OPPD sent four crews to assist @evergypower in KS w/ power restoration after a strong storm w/ 100mph winds knocked out power to 186k customers in Kansas & Missouri late Friday. The crews are working in Topeka today & will then head to the KC area.
- Did you know that Evergy’s produced more than 70 million megawatt hours of wind energy? What does that mean? That’s enough electricity to power peak usage (game time) at Arrowhead Stadium for more than 800 straight years. #ChiefsKingdom #MovingEnergyForward
- Happy to share that players from Kansas City's own @thekccurrent will be flipping the switch during the Evergy Plaza Lights on Thanksgiving evening! @ThePlazaKC @kmbc
- Due to regional power supply shortages, approximately 60,000 Evergy customers lost power for approximately 30 minutes this afternoon.
- From Carol in Topeka: "Our neighborhoods power went out at 5:45 this morning. With sub-zero temperatures predicted for the next two days, the timing couldn't have been worse. Evergy was here at 7:30 and had everybody's power back on by 10:45."
