- I've followed the electoral process and the campaign with keen interest. I note the brewing tension and threats to Sierra Leone's hard-earned democracy, peace and security. I have therefore made this attached statement, urging reason over emotions.
- I've been briefed that sadly protests in Sierra Leone yesterday resulted in loss of life. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. Violence is never the answer to anything & should be condemned. I urge for calm & restraint on both sides. May the souls lost Rest In Peace!
