This could so easily be just another dog lover on Twitter... except it isn't.1 July 1923 | French Jew Bertrand Nissim Reinach was born in Paris. - Some irony: the Guardian has miscaptioned a photo of a 4th century Galilee synagogue as "ruins of... a Palestinian village", and then complained that in Israel "Everywhere, history is distorted or obliterated."
- The scenes from Israel are bad enough without the nauseating justifications from some of the moral vacuums on here. Executing ordinary civilians in cold blood is not “resistance”. Do us all a favour and keep your oh-so-clever takes to yourself.
- The depiction of Richard Sharp in today's @guardian cartoon falls squarely into an antisemitic tradition of depicting Jews with outsized, grotesque features, often in conjunction with money and power. It's appalling. Here's why 🧵
