One day Chuuya forgets his hat in his office and /of course/ he bumps into Dazai on his way back home. “Oh chibi, hi! I see you finally listened to my advice and burned your ridiculous hat? “Actually… Yes,” Chuuya deadpans without missing a beat.

15!Dazai absentmindedly doodling something on a piece of paper in a PM meeting, only to realise to his absolute horror that he covered the whole paper with Chuuya’s name. Naturally, when Chuuya comes up to him after the meeting ends, Dazai panics and frantically eats the paper.

Dazai always complains about Chuuya’s hair clogging the drain in the shower, and one day Chuuya says: “You’re right, it’s way too inconvenient. I’ll get a haircut tomorrow.” Mysteriously, the next day the hair salon has to close because of a bomb threat.

“One soul in two bodies”, people often say about Double Black. Chuuya calls bullshit on that. It’s ridiculous. But then why every time Chuuya comes to work after tossing and turning in bed all night unable to fall asleep, he sees that Dazai has dark circles under eyes as well?

Dazai falling asleep in the PM meetings is not unusual, but one day Chuuya notices that it doesn’t look remotely like his usual annoying antics anymore. It’s not his signature “it’s boring” theatrics. It’s not an attempt to piss everyone off. It’s not his exceptional laziness.

One of the reasons why I love Chuuya’s rich girl impression is that it is, in a way, a code – “everything’s ok, /we’re/ ok”. It was their reunion after 4 years apart and Chuuya was angry and bitter, yet, he played along with Dazai with their little inside joke, showing that

15!Dazai being lowkey jealous about Chuuya being older than him and casually leaving retirement home pamphlets on his desk. Chuuya, in turn, starts leaving kindergarten application forms on Dazai’s, and even goes as far as actually signing him up for a trial day in one of them.

It’s weird enough that Dazai came to work on time for once, but the ADA is completely thunderstruck when a Port Mafia car pulls up next to the building and a certain Executive gets out of it, emanating the aura of danger and menace.
