You need guys on special teams who would step on someone's clean shoes.

I'm a coach. I have BA's in both sociology and history. I also have a Masters in PUBLIC POLICY. Based on MY life's experiences, coaches would make far better politicians than these mouthbreathers we have in office. Coaches are professional problem solvers.

Today I made a very difficult decision based solely for the benefit of my family seeking a place outside of CA. I've stepped down as Asst. HC, STC and LBs coach @GWCfootball after nearly a decade. Can't say 'Thank You' enough to Coach Mitchell and all the Rustlers over the years!

Message today was about accountability. I've worked in the NFL, D1, D2, and JC. One thing is always true: You get out of the experience what you put in. You only have yourself to blame for shortcomings. Can be said the same for success. A million choices landed you where you are.

Special Teams Coordinators are often tagged as Interim HCs. Yet they're rarely (if ever?) given the full time role at the end? In managing personnel (having to manage players from every position group), STC is one of the hardest roles in football. Successful STCs make good HCs.

This is the first year in 27 years that Im not gearing up for camp as a player or coach. It was a tough non-football related decision. God clearly put me in a position to pick a path and I listened. My message to the guys: embrace camp, be relentless, and get on special teams!

Remember how much we all hated this dude? That's how you may look right now. Don't be this guy. #rememberthetitans

I don't have the answers. Just want all my former and current players to know I love them.
