    Since apparently some of y'all have never been told allow me, "boo fucking hoo" is a wild thing to say about a child who's witnessed/experienced abuse.
    When my mom left my father she first took us to a battered woman's shelter. However I was 7 years old. We were told when I turned eight I would constitute an inherent threat as a "man" and either I would have to fend for myself on the streets or our family would have to leave
    Oh boo hoo. young men are just as dangerous as grown men so yes, women deserve to have spaces to heal from trauma and abuse separated from males
    Oh boo fucking hoo you should be telling the men to create their own shelters but of course you're mad at women
    Blame your father for putting y'all in the position to go to a battered woman shelter. women safety>>> men's feelings

    What if I told you that the more barriers there are to finding a place of safety the harder it is for people to leave DV situations. THEN what if I told you that for many people, leaving their 8-year-old child behind, would be a deal breaker.

    People will see someone trying to get strong painkillers for strong pain and be like "ewwww🚩drug seeking behavior🚩". We went from "take this oxy for your stubbed toe" to "we're going to operate on you while you're awake here's a Tylenol stop complaining you DRUG ADDICT".

    "Unhoused people are doing [ activity you find problematic]." So are your housed neighbors. They just have the privacy of a home to do it in. And suddenly it's not as problematic for you. Sounds like you should be pushing for everyone to be housed.
