btw please nobody take anything i say as me justifying restrictions on trans healthcare. sure i think that stargender teenagers talking about how valid it is to not transition are annoying and possibly harmful. they should still be able to access hrt.

to rephrase this in a harder to deliberately misinterpret way, when a cis person *only* asks the visibly trans person their pronouns, it functions as a signal of 'there is an abnormal person among us, and I know it's you' rather than as a genuine polite gesture.

"Medical" and "nonmedical" transition are not coherent categories. When "nontransitioning" people change their name or their sex markers at the doctor's office they are interacting with the medical system. You people are so bad at talking about this is2g

transition is a means to an end imo. I woke up from SRS and my roomie was like 'you're not a trans woman anymore you're just a woman'. Obviously I know that's not quite accurate but the sentiment I definitely understand

i know “transition is a lifelong process :)” or whatever, but i personally really fw the old school transsexual ideology of transition being an event that you can get to the other side of. like i’m not transitionING, i transitionED. now i’m just some white lady. old news, move on
