    Welcome to AZ. Today a pharmacist denied the MTX refill for my adolescent patient. She's on 5 mg/wk to prevent AHCA Ab production. MTX denied purely because she's a female, barely a teenager. Livid! No discussion, just a denial. Now to fight for what's best for this pt.

    I know that place too! One of the highlights of many trips was making fry bread in Canyon de Chelly on open fire with the Grandmas yelling instructions in Navajo as I was cinging my eyebrows 🤣

    As an intern, did the admit H&P for 50 something y.o. w/syncopal episode. Asked code status. Said DNR. Confirmed x 3 as seemingly healthy. 2 hours later ICU called a code. Had to stop it as was my admit. Autopsy = diffuse metastatic ca. That patient knew!

    Anti human-chimeric antibody production. The body recognizes non human parts of a medication and produces antibodies against that portion which neutralizes the desired effects of the medication.
