In most situations, HS Coach sees the kid every day for 9months a year. He knows better than anyone else: what the kid is doing on his own how kids act around him His character and morals His grades and work ethic if heโ€™s a we or me guy if heโ€™s the first one in last one out

Reason why college coaches love elite HS baseball, not travel, is because nothing is given. Itโ€™s the closest thing to college. You donโ€™t have a role or playing time guaranteed. Itโ€™s not travel baseball anymore, you gotta earn your keep and earn your playing time.
Players: Playing time isnโ€™t your decision. Itโ€™s out of your control. You can control doing what it takes to become a better player. If you want to play more, then do more. Attack threats. Practice more. Perfect your role. Youโ€™re the only person responsible for what you control.

Finally able to share this!!! Super proud of Thomas and all the hard work he put in to accomplish his dream of playing at the Naval Academy. Itโ€™s been quite a journey over the past 2 years but this couldnโ€™t be happening to a better kid. Glad to have been a part of the ride!
