Players: No HS or summer coach is going to put his credibility on the line recommending you to a college coach or pro scout until you have first earned his respect. Low energy, selfish, no hustle, bad body language will get you scratched off everybody’s list quickly.

If I were a college coach going to scout a player here would be my simple checklist of what i hope to see: 1. Having fun playing baseball. 2. High energy, hustler. 3. Makes the game look easy. 4. Is a great teammate. 5. Manages failure well. 6. High baseball IQ. 7. Coachable

When college coaches come to us and inquire about a player. They ALWAYS ask: Good teammate? Parents? Coachable? Work ethic? Tough? Manage failure? Academics? They NEVER ask: BA. ERA, player ranking. Ball exit. Launch angle. #FigureItOut #Makeup #Character

Attention tournament directors. Five games in a 24 hour span in 90° heat is too much baseball and unhealthy and unwise. That would never happen in college or professional baseball, yet it happens all the time in youth baseball tournaments. #ReThink

Please join our entire US Elite family tonight as we form an army of prayer warriors for Sherman Braxton, father of US Elite player, Josh Braxton. Sherman suffered a stroke at today’s game and is in surgery right now in Charlottesville, VA to remove a blood clot.

Many people misunderstand the term development. Here is development. This is during a game. Good coaches are simply teachers of the sport. They love to help players get better. Yelling at players during the game is not teaching. Its usually an emotional breakdown of the coach.
