    The attacks on the Amazon are an international tragedy. What can we do? 1. Support the courageous resistance of the indigenous peoples of the Amazon. 2. Make clear to the agribusiness & financiers involved in the destruction that we won’t buy their products.

    The Amazon rainforest has been burning for 3 weeks! We are on the verge of losing it completely if the fire isn't put out. The loss of trees, the loss of biodiversity is what is accelerating CLIMATE CHANGE. THIS IS AN INTERNATIONAL EMERGENCY. This is a CRISIS. #SaveTheAmazon

    Tropical rainforests don’t burn naturally. The Amazon fires are caused by arsonists and politicians, big corporations, and international brands are the ones profiting from it. Don’t let them get away with it. #WhichSideAreYouOn #AmazonOrBolsonaro #StopTheFires

    We made this map to show how #AmazonFire hotspots in the #AmazonRainforest overlap with protected areas and/or indigenous territories. Indigenous peoples are the best protectors of the rainforest; they're also the most at risk from its destruction. Let's stand with them. ✊🏾

    Today, Brazil’s Supreme Court could define the future of Indigenous land demarcation. It's expected to rule on the “Marco Temporal,” or #TimeLimitTrick, an unconstitutional legal tool created by extractivist lobbies interested in exploiting Indigenous lands in Brazil.
