    Before @FCompanionSouth I didn't do many interviews. I was (and am) scared. But Manikandan was honest, kind and giving. Was an absolute pleasure talking to him and listening to others talk about him. This story just wrote itself. Please read. And send feedback, ok?

    I stand up for the national anthem before movies *ONLY* because I don’t want to be bullied / harassed / attacked for not doing so. It has nothing to do with patriotism. As a woman who watches movies by myself very often, I’m simply scared. There.

    Long ago, I decided to travel to Pondy with a man I'd only recently met. Early morning bus. 30 mins into the trip, he pulled out a sandwich from his backpack & gave it to me. Said he didn't want me to travel hungry. That sandwich sealed my love life forever. I'm still well fed.

    #Thiruchitrambalam is absolutely endearing. An ordinary-slice-of-life film that doesn't bore. It's as light-footed as it's grounded. Dhanush sells the film, but, man, Nithya Menen is absolute queen!

    Half my time — as an editor — is removing unnecessary capitalization. People seem to Think all important Words are to be Capitalised. Like that first big alphabet somehow Impacts how something is Read. I meticulously Remove the Capitalization. But, I'm not even sure anymore.

    It's while writing the review I realised just *how much* I seem to have enjoyed #Doctor. It's the most fun I've had watching Tamil films this year. Review will be up in just a bit. :)

    The software in the registrar office wouldn't work. They asked us to come back another day. We insisted, waited, threatened to repair the software ourselves, before the registrar got bugged and got it sorted. 😬

    I really wish 2022 brings Anirudh better lyricists. I understand Sivakarthikeyan, Poet Dhanush-lines are his vibe, but "mezhugu dollu nee, azhagu schoolu nee" does get stale! Surely, it's possible to do better.
